On tap at the brewpub yesterday.
The MC IPA pours an attractive peachy amber color with good head retention and considerable sticky lacing. Fact is, this IPA doesn't look half bad at all. Don't get a whole lot on the nose, just some tobacco, sweet malt, light citrus and some underlying earthiness. Flavors replicate the nose pretty closely, though it's a bit sweeter than I normally like, and it's got something of harsh, bitter finish (not entirely from hops, though the beer does have a hoppy, bitter finish). The beer struck me as a bit out of balance, and I thought the alcohol a bit more prominent than I'd like. Mouthfeel was medium bodied, and the finish was fairly long and bitter. Drinkability is where this beer really falls apart IMHO. The beer is on the sweet side, and there's something of an alcoholic bite in the finish. As a result, I found drinking this IPA to be very slow going, and finally I just gave up and left the last half of my beer.
Certainly not the worst IPA I've ever had (and I liked it better than the wheat ale), but it was hardly what I'd call very enjoyable either.

I had a pint of Mill Creek IPA at the brew pub. Served in a pint glass. It was the only Mill Creek brew they had on hand.
Appearance is a deep copper color and clear. There is a tight foamy head atop the beer, which leaves a little lace on the glass.
Smell is faint. Typical IPA notes I guess. The beer may have been a bit cold to be aromatic.
Taste is a bit of a sour grapefruit flavor and a and a heavy biscuit taste.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a bitter and cloying aftertaste.
Drinkable but not a great IPA. It's supposed to be in the English style, which accounts for the significant malt presence. I'm not even sure it is a great representation of the English style. The fact this is the only beer they had on hand probably says something.
