Pours perfectly clear with a beautiful gold colour. A bit of a head. Smell and taste are grainy, biscuits and corn. Quite flavourful for a “ light “ lager.

From notes from up north
Appearance: Half finger of head that vanished immediately, the body is a pretty standard yellow that show steady carbonation.
Smell: In a few words, Corn, barley and swamp. Thankfully the later is the mildest of the notes here but really none of them are especially potent, even after warming.
Taste: Low roasted barley malt follows by a pungent hit of swamp water taste and a brush of earthy hops. Simple, but not in a good way.
Mouthfeel: Points get deducted for the lack of head, the carbonation does it's job with accenting the beer, the aftertaste seems to focus on the earthy hops which thankfully chases away that swampy note.
Drinkability: Surprisingly a bit thicker then I'd expect a beer with this ABV to have, I mean it's still light bodied, but for 4.2 it just seems a bit thick. Gassy, but refreshing I suppose but the core issue here is there are way better summer drinkers then this.
Final Thoughts: This was a disappointment, especially since the brewery has a much better summer drinker close to this style in Low Gear. Not sure I understand why you would brew a Lager this light when you already had a lighter option. I'm going to chalk this one up to being the first attempt at Lager, because I know this brewery produces much better stuff.
