Cask at Cask Days English ale lead up.
Pours a hazy dark orange, some reddish hints, medium sized white head forms, slowly settles to a thin ring around the glass, some lace spots stick.
Smell is alright, pretty malty, some caramel and biscuit, a bit of floral, quite fruity, pretty solid herbal hopping, wheat, yeast, interesting, not too bad.
Taste is similar, malty up front, caramel, biscuit, light bit of fruity sourness, yeast, floral, a bit of astringent bitterness, messy.
Mouthfeel is light bodied with low to medium carbonation. A decent bitter but a little too muddy for my tastes.

Volo 2009 english cask fest. Sour and funky, though more drinkable than it sounds. Some bitterness accentuated by some noticeable yeast used. More carbonation than a normal cask. Average mouthfeel. Tasted some barley as well. A redish tinge to the colour. It is good that I had this after a few understated bitters, or it would shred my palate.
