Had on tap. Clear rusty brown with a khaki head. Nose is dialed in a euro caramel malts with a hint of toasty yeast. Taste has a good first half with malt and earth, brown bread yeast, acorn, over roasted barley and more hops than needed is the issue I can’t look past on the finish. Very smooth nonetheless, frothy even, malty underneath.

Funny. I taste this and I think "This is a flavorful beer." I enjoy half of it and look at the label.
I cannot believe my eyes. I say out loud "This is not a bock!"
Then I say (to continue the dialog): " So, what?" The Italians are being creative and breaking the mold... (which I like.)
But the bottom-line is the beer must be reviewed compared to its peers: and Lariano has not copied the Bavarian masters.
But that is OK because I believe deeply in innovation for the right cause.
Falesia (and I want to know the meaning of her name) Looks brilliant... like an O-fest. And she Smells like one, albeit not as good as the best. Tastes are like... something is missing. And my mouth wants the softness of a bock and all I get is well-concealed alcohol.
I went on their website and I must say it is among the top 5 beer websites I have ever seen. (And just so you know, I study sites more than beer.) At any rate, beauty does not equal beer traditions. And in bringing their beer up to the quality of the traditions they mimic, I wish them well.

Dark reddish color, light brown foam, quite beautiful. Good appearance.
In the smell malt and caramel, strong, touches of hop, some candy sugar, but pleasant.
At the taste again malt, caramel, with a decent bitterness. Touches of liquorice.
Quite light body for the style, it slips away a bit.
Not too long aftertaste, but not bad, again caramel, and a plesant bitterness, almost root-like.
Alcohol well hidden.
