A wonderful brown ale; dare I say a nut brown ale. Light chocolate and nuttiness mixed with whole wheat bread on the taste. The hops are light but ad an earthy/dank bitterness on the finish.

Dark chestnut brown in the tall Timmermans goblet, with a thin but persistent cap of foam. Plenty of spritz on the tongue. Expansive warm and rich malty flavor. Lots of roasted grainy flavor with an appealing touch of sweetness.

Some dark chocolate flavors and something like a touch of mince meat pie spices with that raisiny tang. The hops are distinct but play discretely in the background. There is just a modest lingering bitterness in the aftertaste along with some honey.

One of the better winter brews and a new one to me. Beautiful label, too. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Wine World and Spirits in north Seattle.

For a beer called Hoppy Holidays, it is lacking in hops. However, it is just as the description tells: chocolate and dark fruits. poured into a Rouge hoppy Holidays glass, it pours a solid light black with a thick white head that stays. It smells of one sided darkness. Flavor mostly of old figs and chocolate and some burnt coffee; there is not much hops as far as aroma or hoppy flavor go. But, if a burt winter warmer is what your locking for, this beer is for you. Goes great with dark chocolate and dark chocolate cake! Would recommend splitting a bomber for a night cap, but as far as drinkability go beyond that, I couldn't do more than two without unpleasantries. The toasted malt/coffee/chocolate lingers too long on the tongue relative to other flavors.

Bomber into a FW tulip. Vintage 2013 so its extremely fresh, obviously.

Pours a dark red, almost brown with a big inch and a half head. The smell is a bit mild with caramel and a faint amount of hops, but nothing real remarkable there. The taste though is extremely different and is amazing. Caramel is there but also a ton of dark fruit and chocolate. An amazing plethora of flavors that blend superbly well together. Almost full bodied too, which was another nice surprise! Super easy to drink and ABV undetectable.

Overall loved this beer and glad i have another bomber!
