A: Poured a deep brown with good carbonation and dirty white head
S: Plenty of toasted malt and cocoa
T: Starts out with roasted malt and some milk chocolate, light coffee. I thought it was a tad high in carbonation at first but then it sordoves rounds out
M: At first the feel was a bit overcarbonated and not as milky, hearty as I expected from a Impy Porter bit then it sordove balances out with time
D: Good

Served in straight pint glass. Poured almost black, just a bit of translucent brown color, with about an inch of dark brown head that had good retention and OK lacing.
The aroma is strongly roasted malts, nothing else really comes through on the nose. There are some basic sweet malt notes and a touch of grain as well. The beer has a touch of sweetness at first, then some grain on the middle of the tongue and finishes with a strong roast and coffee taste.
The body is very good, full, but heavy or sticky. Drinkability is also very good, a couple of these would be god with a bowl of chili on a rainy Northwest day.
Overall, another fine job from the crew at SE. Worth seeking out.
