Listed as a Dry Stout on the chalk board, please correct if necessary. Served in tulip. Poured a solid black, no translucence, with about 1/2 inch of tan head that had decent retention and moderate lacing.
The aroma was dominantly a mild roast with a bit of malt in the background. The roast was bit stronger on the tongue, but so much that it had a burnt taste. There was a mild malt flavor to provide some contrast.
The body was a bit thin for what I expect, but was very smooth, even and dry. Drinkability was good, the beer was gone quickly, even on a warm day. Overall, a nice little brew. Probably not worth a lot of effort to seekout, but worth a shot if you see it around the Sound.
