Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 6/17/21. This is a "dry-hopped lager" brewed as a collaboration with Zeek's Pizza.
Appearance: light straw hue with a clear body and a finger of frothy eggshell foam that subsides pretty quickly. I like it, though a little more head retention would be nice.
Smell: lightly malty with some herbal, lemongrass hop aroma. Not bad, although the volume could be turned up a notch. The can says this is brewed with Loral and Trident hops, which definitely explains the lemongrass.
Taste: light, soft malt flavor with a bit of toastiness, and a slightly floral and herbal hop character. The lemongrass is more subdued than in the aroma, but the overall effect is still a little bit soapy. This isn't a bad thing, though; it reminds me of some classic pale ales.
Mouthfeel: medium body with really rather a lot of carbonation and a concomitant creaminess. I dig it!
Overall: this is a pretty good beer. And it makes sense as a collab with Zeek's: I could see this going very well indeed with a pizza. I probably won't go back to this particular well, but it's definitely worth a try.
