Brewed in Collaboration with Bale Breaker
Birds of a feather flock together -- but not the alpha bird. He rides alone. The early bird gets the hops... so look out!
Brewed with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Krush hops. 40 IBU.

collaboration with bale breaker and a total banger, killer hop profile, im still here for the cold ipa, even though its trendy moment seems long gone now, i loved this beer, very impressive! super pale and clean, simcoe and krush leading but with some mosaic as well, modern and brisk and easy, could have pounded this all night but only had the single unfortunately, gorgeous execution. very light in the glass, not a lot of grain to this, simple and earthy and well out of the way, close to clear, high headed, fizzy carbonation, exactly what is hot right now. the aroma on this is grapefruity and fresh, with zest and pith together, i like it having some appreciable citrus bitterness right away, and it comes with notes of lemongrass, clover, lemon curd, ripe strawberry, and mango, the thiol side of this is bursting, pineapple juice, chardonnay, its awesome, super fresh, and indeed almost lager crispness is obvious, the cold part of this is smart and flattering to the hops, and its all there in the taste. lemongrass for sure, lime zest, splashy pink grapefruit, simcoe at its best here, and the berry side of krush is there, weedy and terpy too, rambutan and coconut water, middling bitterness, absolutely fast on the swallow, lager-like but with no appreciable yeast flavor at all. the lightness and carbonation are fantastic for this, the hops really sing, and overall this is fabulously good, nice hop flow and contribution from all three varietals too. black raven has stepped up a lot lately in my experience, this is great!

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Foggy golden pour, small, sturdy white foam head. Light grassy aroma, touch of hops. Taste brings soft, bready pale malts, mild hop profile. Very smooth, easy to drink, close to an IPL.

16oz can served in a stemless Fremont glass. Canned on 07/23/25.
Pours clear light yellow, medium sized head, fine carbonation. Smell is moderately dank, some melon or bubble gum, lots of lemon pith and lemon rind. Floral.
Taste is melon, light white grape, thin lemon, maybe some lime. Resin bitter. Dankness is toned down a bit from the smell. Resin builds, melon builds.
Mouthfeel is light, quite effervescent despite no strong hint in the appearance. Overall, nice, tasty hoppy beer on the citrus side of a WC profile.
