Had this beer at rons bar in downingdown, pa

Look: beautiful color, nice dark copper and very transparent

Smell: big caramel and dark roast characteristics, but still that classic hop bitterness reminiscent of a great esb

Taste: what a fantastic beer. I wouldn't even classify this as an esb, its so thick on the malt. Finish is dry and hoppy, yet it leaves a toffee tingle on the back of your tongue

Mouthfeel: coats the whole palate, its great

Drinkability: I don't know if I could do more than 2 of these, but I am not an esb lover in the same sence.

Still, hands down this is the best one that I have had next to anderson valley

On-tap at Craft Ale House in Limerick. They call it an "American ESB," but I really can't tell it apart from an amber ale. Appears a clear red-amber with a short light tan head. This beer smells like a delicious toffee and hops candy, and that's good. The flavor can't quite match the great aroma, but there's still a tasty mix of dry caramel with a mellow run of hop notes - lemon rind, grapefruit, and pepper. The hops roll off into the aftertaste, but the malt are a little thin. Still, a pretty tasty beer and worth a try.

Had this for the first time at the Yellow Springs Beer & Wine Fest. Pours a dark copper bronze with a proper khaki cap.

Light aroma of floral notes, caramel and toasted malt which mirror the palate along with a bit of table sugar tea bitterness and easy stringent characteristics.

Quite drinkable. High drinkability factor.

Last swigs: Note to self. Re-review this one the first chance. Although it was a brewfest, a generous glass was offered to quaff. Great to see a new ESB lurking in the area.
