Dark chocolate brown color. Finger and a half of light tan head retreats to a thin film. Creates firm lines of lace.
Smooth toasty aroma of wheat bread and grits. Rich, earthy coffee awakens my senses.
Toasted wheat bread and corn backbone. Bold, yet smooth coffee flavor and slightly acidic. Hint of licorice spice and earthy hop bitterness. Well balanced.
Light to medium body and a tad over-carbonated. Grainy texture and dry finish.
Solid coffee porter. Pretty standard for the style but enjoyable nonetheless.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 5/4 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong sweet malt, slight coffee, slight hop, hint of pale malt, hint of roasted malt, and a hint of oatmeal. Fits the style of an American Porter. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, roasted malt, slight coffee, slight hop, and pale malt. Overall, good appearance, aroma, and blend. The body is surprisingly muted compared to the aroma.
