A gift from the Old Man in March 2024, drunk in April that year.
L: Hazy and pale, as advertised. It's pineapple juice yellow, with a thick collar of fluffy, bright-white head. It's the archetype of a hazy pale ale.
S: There's a tropical and citrus bouquet, with perhaps lemon and pineapple as the dominant notes and stone fruit lurking underneath.
T: This one tastes almost exactly as expected from the visuals and the nose. There's an easy, fruity drinkability, with mild bitterness and just the slightest touch of hoppy grapefruit darkness. This one is a day-long drinker.
M: The beer's body is full and smooth, carbonation is medium, and carbonic prickle is low. Combined, these perfectly suit the beer's profile.
O: This one got better as I went in and realised I was three-quarters finished in the blink of an eye. It's very pleasantly drinkable and absolutely demands a second glass.
Cheers!

A new limited release from the Stone & Wood company.
Vessel: 375ml can. Nice design on the can, multiple shades of green hinterland, presumably around the Byron Bay and Northern Rivers of New South Wales region.
Appearance: A lovely pale orange colour, looks like orange juice or tropical juice. Nice thick 1-cm frothy head. Pours a little thicker than expected, evidence of carbonation around the bottom of the glass. Very Hazy and dense looking. Signs are good
Aroma: Orange peel, sweet Mandarins, spicy pine notes, peach flesh. Sweetness comes from the fruit and not malt smells.
Taste: Strong flavours of mandarin and sweet orange flesh and skin and juicy. Strong pine flavours. Low bitterness.
Feel: Solid enough mouthfeel, with good carbonation. Easy drinkability. Quite smooth.
Overall: It's not punching in your mouth flavour, but it's a very solid hazy pale ale. Good flavours and body and quite enjoyable.
