Pours a hazy golden. I can smell the radiant lemon zest and white wine on the nose as I pour the beer into a glass. It's soft lemon and blood orange, with a touch of acidity, but not enough to the pHoint where I'd call it sour. It's soft and delightfully drinkable. This is a terrific introduction to Upright.

Poured from 750ml into Bell's Hopslam Tulip. No bottling or freshness date to be found.
L: Cloudy yellow, two finger white head has moderate retention.
S: Funky, earthy, woody, resinous pine or cedar, some white wine.
T: Very funky, to the point where I dislike this. Too much white wine flavor for me and too funky. Some earthy wood and piney flavors.
F: Medium body, Belgian carbonation, semi-dry.
O: Gross to me.

On tap at Upright
Brilliant nose, lemony with kaffir line leaves, a touch of oak and funk, earth, Brett, mildly grainy with a unique wheat note, a touch spicy- is that the triticale? A touch of mineral white wine and green grape is also present. The palate opens bright, tart with a mineral white wine note, a blend of the Upright house saison and funk notes- a touch of clove, a touch of earth, a mild fruit note. Clearly open fermented with the softness and a slight estery flavor that comes with it. Lemon,
and earth. Drying finish with a blend of clove and lemon. Brilliant.
