Saison Masekela is a one-off three cask blend combining the following:
Saison Vert from an auxerrois (white wine) barrel
Beesment (raw honey saison) from a vermouth barrel
Wayfaring Saison (100% brettanomyces) from a 2009 vintage barrel
The blend is a fun showing of all three elements, with bright citric flavors, complex fruit and wild yeast notes, and a balanced oak profile, named in honor of the great South African musician.

Crowler from Bailey's.
A clear light orange with a dense, off-white head that recedes rapidly leaving no lace, this looks solid. The nose is rather remarkable. Up front, there's lemon, green grape, white wine, a mild tannin note, lemongrass and a really nice Brett expression. Deep with earth, a touch of lactic acid and some dust. The palate opens bright and tart, a blend of lactic and lemony acids. This is followed by the more citron-like notes from the lemongrass, a mild but noticeable mineraly and sweet white wine character, a touch of dried orange peel from the vermouth, and a surprisingly mellow vanilla and tannin note on the finish. The wine and the lemon notes really blend well together. Medium-light in body and moderately carbonated, this beer finishes long and bright. Excellent.
