New Features is a festive saison to open 2019. Open fermented with a unique Norwegian farmhouse yeast, the beer shows wonderful depth with complex fruity notes and a pleasant, earthy honey-like flavor to match the Mecca Grade raw rye in the grist. New Features finishes appetizingly dry like a classic saison. Made in collaboration with longtime Portland brewer Corey Blodgett who visited us from his new home in Wisconsin. 8.25%

On tap at the brewery.
A clear light yellow with a thin white head that falls off rapidly leaving lacing, this looks great. The nose is fruity and nicely grainy with mild honey, straw, grains of paradise, a mild cider note, a sweet honey. There's a beautiful grain note, delicately sweet and doughy. The palate opens with a beautiful blend of honey, dough, floral honey, mildly spicy with white pepper, grains of paradise, a touch of coriander and a light caraway note. The delicate spice that you find in a Duvel is present. Drying on the finish with a mild spice note, floral honey, grain, dough, just fantastic. Alcohol is present and well integrated into the palate, lightening the floral honey and dough notes. Fantastic.
