Two Tone Saison is a blend of fresh beer with year old barrel aged saison, bringing together apricot with dank and fruity hops - crystal, cascade, and el dorado. Dry, bright and flavorful with hop oils and light acidity across the palate, the Two Tone modifies a historic style to modern tastes.

Crowler from the brewery.
A hazy orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is unique. The fresh saison with its bright hops, fruity and mildly oily, straddling the line between old and new world, is most noticeable. The saison yeast isn't the most expressive here, with the barrel character and bugs following up the hops. Brett notes of clove and mild earth with just a hint of pineapple present. The palate opens with a blend of bright yet earthy hops paired with a brooding, earthy Brett aged saison character. Delicately fruity with pineapple and peach, noticeably bitter with a little bit of pine and bitter clove acid from the Brett, and just a little tannin present to add a little structure and heft to the palate. Grain character is mild, and the saison yeast and the delicate fruitiness of the open fermentation are just barely noticeable. Refined, subtle yet deeply and immediately satisfying, this beer is medium light in body and moderately carbonated. A most excellent beverage.
