Fire Opal is a hoppy saison aged on nectarines. Originally open fermented with a blend of three farmhouse yeasts, the brew spent eight months in a foeder over the fruit, picking up spicy oak flavors and an appetizing acidity.

On tap at the source.
A clear straw yellow with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose opens hoppy, tart and bright with rind like hop notes, a soft tartness and a light nectarine character. Subtle. The nectarine is light, fruity, subtle with a floral, fragrant character. The palate opens light, tart, fruity and hoppy with pineapple, citrus, some lime leaf along with some nectarine. Fruity, light, subtle. Quenching, clean, lactic finish. A shade watery.
