Pours a pale slightly hazy yellowish with creamy foam. Described as an "Open fermented and dry hopped Saison." This is a light and interesting Farmhouse style with little of the usual yeasty overdose. Very nice carbonation with clouds of bubbles sloshing on the palate. Slight cucumber aroma with notes of green grapes. Mild taste of cereal with a touch of lemon and green herbs. Quite easy to drink and mild in every way. From the 16 oz can dated 01/20/2023.

It’s ok. But it’s a little on the “Pledge” side. And I am not taking about allegiance to the flag. More so that stuff that your granny sprays on her tables to rid them of dust and stuff. Yeah, this one might cure me of scurvy, but it doesn’t feel like a pirate’s bounty.
Ahoy! Raul wouldn’t drink this one again!

Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 1/20/23.
Appearance: shimmery pale golden hue with two fingers of frothy ivory foam. Looks nice.
Smell: very melon-forward right up front, with a tropical character and a fruity sweetness that to me reads above its 4.3% ABV. Not necessarily farmhouse-y, but I really like it.
Taste: more of that fruity, tropical, melony, guava-ey flavor, with a little dose of underlying funk. It reminds me of springtime, and I am very much into it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a very tasty, refreshing, interesting beer. I tend to like hoppy saisons when they are done well, and this one is indeed.

another super clever upright beer, i love these guys so much! a neat saison here, open fermented with some yeast isolated from honeycomb apparently, then dry hopped with kohatu and idaho 7, real unique stuff, and very easy drinking for how complex it is. hazy yellow colored but still bright and no sediment here at all, short head in my glass, looks slightly under carbonated and feels that way when i drink on it, but it slows this down enough for all its complexity to be appreciated, i bet some can conditioning would help this, which i think they do, but i had it on draft, the nose is hoppy, a touch green, but fruity like almost ripe honeydew and green grape, springy and light, herbal like honeysuckle and elderflower and white tea, then the light funk of the open ferment, less estery than clean saison yeast but not bretty or spicy or as distinct as anticipated, and thats true in the flavor too, subtle, all on the finish with the yeast, mellow funk, hay and straw and grass, cleaner than expected. minerals underneath, wheat and pils malts, pale and simple, the right foundation for this. the hops are fresh, give it some tropical character, an almost wet hopped boldness and freshness, clearly a positive interaction with this yeast. some minerals, some light orange or kumquat, hop oils, even a hint of thyme or lemon thyme. lovely stuff, more carbonation would set it off, but its another winner from these guys. so glad we got to visit!

On tap at the source.
A light yellow with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is spicy, grainy, with a blend of pils malt and wheat. There is a spicy, lime note, clean and almost hoppy but apparently from the yeast! Wild. The palate opens clean and crisp, the blend of base malts clear and cracker like. A touch overcarbonated, lending to a mild acidity and carbonic bite. Floral, fruity finish. Tasty.
