"Upright’s first brew using the yeast strain made famous by Saison Dupont. It’s a session-style hoppy saison, coming in at 3.8% abv. The beer was fermented very warm in our open tanks, yielding a nice fruity contrast to the peppery character derived from perle, east kent golding, and santiam hops ."

On tap at Upright tasting room, $3 for 12 oz. glass, 9.10.11.
Cloudy straw yellow body, good number of rising streams of carbonation. One finger white uniform size bubbles, medium slow dissipation with some visible lacing. Nose is pretty clean, just a hint of coriander with some Meyer lemon fruity esters. Taste mirrors nose, though there's a nice bit of tartness on back end, mild hop bitterness from the Santiams, accentuating the coriander notes. Mouthfeel is light-medium, on the dry side from Dupont yeast, not overly effervescence, but not too soft. A nice one off from the fertile farmhouse mind of Alex Ganum. Cool.
