The can alludes to the local transit rail. The can is the only selling point.
I split a pint with my girlfriend. I lasted two sips before pouring it out. She lasted one. I the was one terrible beer, with a flavor that suggested Schlitz Malt Liquor with a triple dump of whatever hops were swept up off the floor.
I'm amazed anyone has good things to say about this one. It's abysmally bad.

On tap at the Richmond Republic Draught House in SF. Decent IPA with a bitter hops finish as reflected by the 100 IBU rating. Semi hazy golden color. No hint of tropical notes, just a tad citrusy.

On tap at the Claremont hotel. Fruity hop goodness, nice bitter finish

12 oz can poured in a tulip glass
9/23/19 printed on the bottom, less than a month ago
L: Nice tangerine coloring, small bubbles floating to the top
S: Beautiful hop bouquet
T: Tropical, with dank complexity. Full and rich malt backbone, bitter finish
O: Pick it up fresh, first impression was probably from old beer with faded hops

Bottle from Whole Foods. Amber pour with small foamy head. Aroma is rich malts, earthy hops, kinda smoky, tobacco. taste too is natural and dirty, more smoky character. Light hops and nice bready malts. Perhaps closer to an APA, but still an interesting beer.

My first from this brewer. And being a transit geek, I was very much taken in by the label... but unfortunately, not the ale. East Bay IPA gave me a bit of fruity hops and the rest was bitter medicine. (I had a cold, so you'd thing I'd be less sensitive to the imbalances here. Very much resiny.)
Because of the clever name and label, I'd like to give it a try again... but on tap and preferably a flight. Today was not the experience I hoped for.

I like the label art! From a bomber bottled on 2/14/17. Pours a burnt orange with two fingers of tan head. Grapefruit smell. Medium, slightly resiny feel. Acidic, bitter grapefruit flavor. Like drinking a grapefruit. Good, if fairly one-dimensional.

Had a bomber from my local costco that was fairly fresh. Poured with a dark tan color and a nice hoppy smell. Taste went down well with a thicker feel to it with a strong malty sweet finish. Had a bit of a stout feel to it even though it is truely an IPA. Worthy enough of a later date second opinion and a review refresh.

Golden amber brew with an abundant white foam in the tumber. Piney aroma. Thin and on the harsh side. Hot with alcohol.
This is sharp and resiny with just a shimmer of fruity hop aromatics. A brief kiss of pineapple and then its off to the bitter regrets. Not very drinkable except as hop and booze shooter. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Molly Stone Market.

This pours a caramelly colored tan. Little to no aroma. Flat orange hop flavor, drying and flat bitterness. This doesn't represent the east bay at all. Given the generally positive reviews here I hope to revisit this with a more positive experience at some point. Stay tuned.

Light orange, 1/2" off white head, looks good. Aroma hit the citra notes, tropical, citrus, pine, they're all there.
What looks like a big ass dipa at almost 8% and 100 ibu drinks lighter than that thankfully. The hops are used to provide flavors more than mouth grating bitterness. Stays away from crystal malt thankfully.
One of the best beers I've had from this brewery. A true west coast ipa.
