Another one of those flanders ales that looks more oud bruin than flanders. Darker, mild tan head 1/6".
Aroma was just not flanderseque, the red and brown malts were all I could pull aroma wise.
Taste is similar, earthy, like there is solids and liquids in the beer. Wheat? This one just seems like it failed to sour up like you'd normally want. And while earthy, it lacks the leather, wood kind of earthiness, this earthiness seems to be derived from its malt choice.
Average at best.

Darker than expected, this one was more brown than reddish, thin head. Aroma was lacking any sour characteristics.
Gritty mouthfeel, this one just kept lacking the tartness and sourness of a good flanders, instead it delivered something more akin to an American brown ale. Nutty at times, smoother instead of a good does of acidic power. Fermented in the barrel with the yeast left behind after bottling, leaving the beer nice and dry (and gritty). Brett and lacto were added, but failed to give the beer the desired acidity, was left with a good amount of earthiness instead.
