On tap at Max's today.
The beer pours a copper amber color with fairly good head retention and minamal lacing. Not sure what to make of the nose on this one. While there are no off flavors, I otherwise can detect next to nothing. Maybe there's some light citrus, but it's pretty faint. On the palate, this beer is much better. It comes across as a basically dry IPA, with a hint of malty sweetness, orange citrus and subtle earthiness. Mouthfeel is at most medium bodied, and the beer finishes well, with some spritzy bitterness at the end. Drinkabilty is pretty good in this easy going, easy to appreciate IPA.
While nothing extraordinairy, I thought this an enjoyable, easy to understand and appreciate IPA. I assume from the name that the brewery used local fresh hops for this beer, but that doesn't really come across all that much on the palate. Regardless, I thought this another nice beer from the folks at Evolution.
