Poured a cloudy golden body with good head and little lace. Aroma has touches of booze along with a sugary malt base in aroma. Light to medium bodied with sweet notes from tropical fruits and something akin to candi sugar and sweet malts like caramel (possible toffee). A little strong and boozy and slightly heated finish but a good beer to have.

Thanks to Slatetank for sharing this with me. It pours a clear burnt copper to mahogany color with ruby and orange highlights when held to the light. A thin film of off-white bubbles rests atop.

The aroma has a belgian candy sweetness about it with a slight fusel alcohol addition. A touch of bready grain almost toasty is there that transitions to caramel and toffee malt.

The flavor is pretty malt centric with character similar to what is presented in the nose. Toasty, bready and biscuit grain gives way to caramel, toffee and a candy sort of sweetness. Tge alcohol is present with a solvent burn and minor herbal hop element. It almost feels a bit dusty and oxidized with a faint cardboard aftertaste.

This is medium to fuller bodied with a modest level of carbonation. It is quite a boozy offering with plenty of malt character. The yeast impact felt pretty neutral other than the bold alcohol. Overall pretty decent. Thanks again Matt for sharing.

I picked this growler up at Evolution public house in Salisbury, MD enjoyed chilled from an IPA glass.

Appearance is darker amber than expected with deep haze and thick cream cap with good retention and small bead, lace clings well. The smell is fragrant yeast with apricot and other stone fruit and light sweet malt with mild spice aroma. The feel is good with moderately boozy feel with moderate sweetness and semi dry texture with a goodly amount of carbonation.

This Belgian pale is nice with a strong pale malt presence and moderate amount of belgian yeast flavors which have a light fruity aspect which brings some apricot and dried pineapple and slight golden raisin notes with some mild pepper qualities in the finish with a warming alcohol note that is fitting for the style. I am glad I picked this growler up since I am a fan of this style and this is a pretty intensely flavored example ...perhaps a bit more alcohol than is necessary in the taste which is why the mouthfeel score suffers slightly but a drinkable slightly stronger example of the style
