Brewed with "Szechuan peppercorns, Thai chilies, coriander, cilantro, toasted coconut." I meant to add this as a "Chile Beer" but in deference to the collaboration with White Lab, they may have started with good intentions and Belgian yeast. It could be made with Fleischmann's yeast for all the good it does.
Hazy amber in the tulip. Smells like V-8 juice. Tastes like a Witbier with too much alcohol. There must be some malt to give it the body and alcohol but it just tastes like the spicy aromatics.
After a few sips this is just too hot to drink. Salsa is great, but you don't drink it. Irritates the back of the throat. Made me keep clearing my throat to no avail. I'm always happy to taste experiments, but what too much chile does to a beer is not a wheel that needs to be reinvented. On tap at the India Street restaurant.
