On tap at the Ballast Point Tasting Room and Kitchen.
A: cloudy light brown with a decent head and good lacing.
Aroma: funky, earthy and mildly hoppy with hints of biscuits and cooked green vegetables. Gotta be Belgian yeast in here.
Flavor: neither looks nor smells very inviting, and the flavor follows for a moment, but then a nice spicy/hoppy/malty flavor emerges and lingers on thru the finish to the aftertaste. Slightly tart; quite complex and interesting.
Feel: Medium-full body with soft, medium+ carbonation.
O: not very familiar with this style, but I think this version is more yeasty and funky than average.
