Can shared on 7/30/16, brought back by a friend. Big surprises here as it’s not a pale lager, and wasn’t too bad. A bit dry, but focused squarely on the malts. Some caramel, mildly sweet, Nice surprise from the Pacific.

Dried orange peels, tangerines, and caramel on the nose. Some bready malt character also surfaces once you give it time to warm up.
The beer is mostly caramel on the palate with a small hint of the citrus that was present in the aroma. Despite the nonchalant main body it does leave off a wholesome amount of bitterness on your tongue and finishes rather dry, with the roasted malt revealing itself on the back end in a smooth dark-chocolate like manner.
Medium-light bodied, with a manageable level of effervescence. The brew does have a bit of a buttery mouthfeel but is otherwise crisp and refreshing. Save this one for the summer.

Not the best amber I've had.
Pours a red brown with medium head. Little to no lace down the glass. Smells of malts, citrus and biscuits. Taste is almost a red IPA flavor. Strongly hopped, bordering on bitter, but not in a flavorful way. The red malt flavors are there, the hops are there but no one is playing with each other. Mouthfeel is fine. Does leave that weirdly hopped aftertaste. Overall, not my favorite. Don't misunderstand, it's clear RRB knows how to brew well (not skunky or adjunct), it's just this particular combination of ingredients is not well suited for each other.
