Growler from SRB. Pours nice and dark with thin skin of a sand colored head. Rich aroma of roast dark malt, dried fruit, wood. Taste is mildly sweet but not cloying, little bit of dryness on the finish. Overall high marks for the palate as there is no alcohol burn despite it being 11.2% ABV. Smooth and easy to drink, so be careful.

Pours a very hazy dark amber... (Do the brewers not cold crash their brews here?)... White head rises up and leaves nothing behind... no lacing, no cap... to be expected for the higher ABV.
Nose is cloying sweet spicy sweet cherry juice essence... prunes.. dark toffee... Weird..
Flavor has an incredibly weird sweet cherry/grape thing going on that is soooo off-putting... At home I would have drain-poured it, but with friends I choked it down over the course of an hour and still had a hard time with it.
Much like the triple, I picked up pretty much nothing in the way of Belgian esters or phenols... but malty fruitiness seemed very very out of whack.
Body is good... the EtOH is pretty damn high... No fusel alcohols, but the straight EtOH was very noticeable when mixed in with the cherry notes.
Did not care for this one at all.
