On tap in McCall at the new brewpub over the weekend... Pours a pretty hazy golden... white head leaves okay lacing... not very pretty.
Honey sweet and overly spiced... like orange peel and perhaps peppercorns were used... Authentic Belgian yeasty notes are there "maybe", but I could be imagining things.. the residual sugars combine with the "sweet" spices and blow everything else out... not very drinkable... tough to choke down.
Seems like the brewers were trying to use spices instead of getting the ester/phenol ratio right... not very good at all.
