Our nod to the beloved Fresh Hop category. The hops used vary from season to season, but one thing does not, nearly 15lb’s per barrel of hops, fresh from the field are used in this brew. We keep the malt bill simple, finish it dry, and use ZERO kiln dried hops to give the fresh hops the best chance to dominate. An aromatic and flavor explosion is guaranteed.

this seems to have changed forms over the years, now listed at the brewery at 6.5% abv, all wet citra hops, a pale ale type, good and hoppy and pungently flavorful without being real bitter. a nice expression of wet citra, clean for what it is, but with quite a bit of maltiness as well, some crystal in with the pale barley, nice round body, great balance, still dry and easy to drink, but not all hops, really nice, even this late in the season, i assume it was brewed at least a month or more ago, but no sign of fade on it at all. deep brassy in color, tall white head, off clear, with good carbonation. a honey richness runs though it, but the beer really is never sweet. the citra hops throw orange, meyer lemon, and an herbal tea or verbena sort of element into the nose and taste of this, more oily than usual for citra in the feel, this is where the wetness is most evident, and very little bitterness from them. no over dry hopped greenness, no bite, no vegetal character, super clean in that way. fermented to near dry, flavorless ale yeast, high quality objectively, and a pretty unique and even dynamic profile to the hops for just citra which i rarely love by themselves as pellets, but seems more nuanced as a fresh hop. really drinkable beer too, something i want a bunch of pints of, and one of my favorite beers from these guys to date. really good!

On tap at 2014 Hoptober Freshtival. Not enough of the fresh hops to make this notable. Pretty simple pale ale,but light on the hops. Fairly crisp and clean

Draft at Bittercreek.... Pours like a standard blonde ale... Slightly hazy... very drinkable blonde with nice grassy hoppiness... Sorta husky pale malt doesn't do much to accentuate the hops in fact it sorta distracts a bit. Only okay... That said, I would certainly drink it again.
