I love IPAs and this easily is my favorite all-time. Understand I am not as sophisticated with beer palate and most reviewers. I'm more about it being drinkable and if you can can have 2-3 without feeling full/weighed down.
You can only get it at the brewery, which is disappointing. Discovered it by accident when brewery was first starting out. Called the Big Dipa and the d stands for double, so it's a double IPA.It's darker than a regular IPA but not black. First taste is very hoppy, which I enjoy. Not dry or too bitter, and yet has a sweetness to it as well. I'm not a Belgium beer fan because they seem really sweet to me, but this is a different sweet taste so I enjoy it's complexity. Very easy to drink, no matter what the temperature is outside (not too heavy for a hot day). As with double IPAs, it does have a higher alcohol content.
Just wish this beer was easier to obtain, but very much worth the trip to try.

Inflatablechair (Sam) came by tonight 2-fisting growlers from Salmon River... their Stout and DIPA... we only dived into the DIPA..
I had a couple nice pours while Sam was here.. but I figured I had better review this with a clean palate and a descent mind... Poured into my trusty La Trappe goblet... chilling and listening to some acoustic Cowboy Junkies.
1/2" head and a fairly deep orange brew.. good clarity.
The nose has a significant amount of fruity/citrus hops with a bunch of yeasty fruitiness.. apple immediately comes to mind with some overripe apricot.
Could use a bit more bitterness out of the gate.. big and malty mid palate with the above mentioned fruity/citric hops.. still a tad bit more yeasty fruitiness follows and lingers for too long... Good body and carbonation...
I'm not too sure what to think of this one.. It's not any where verging on "bad".. but it seems to need to be dialed in significantly.. I've had a few beers from this brewery now.. but I haven't made the trip to McCall yet to sample from the source.. Probably in a week or two :-) I figure the brewery is still getting their legs under them.. and that is completely expected .. especially when trying to do something pretty special like a DIPA...
I promise I will re-review this one... It has good bones... but needs a workout to strengthen them and smack my palate around a bit.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
