Can. Love picking up singles. Don't always love the singles I pick, though. The allure of a newly rated beer supersedes (what I perceive to be) shitty marketing and branding. Enter Major Mass Soul. Another clowntastic riff upon the played-out, blown-out "Masshole" stereotype. This beer pours quite hazy but also pretty dark in color. Dull, burnt orange. Almost no head. Aroma is of sweet hops mostly. Hops smell a bit degraded. Not sure how old the can is. Sweet orange flesh and rind and some creamy elements. Flavor is really sweet. There is a strong caramel and candied orange flavor. Not in my wheelhouse flavor-wise. Very, very sweet and it isn't really a sweetness that this style of beer is known for. Bitterness is low and so is the carb. Alcohol starts to climb back up the throat and claw at the back of the tongue after a few sips. Overall, not good. Soup to nuts; poop to butts.
