I think that I picked this up during one of my many forays up to New England. I have a number of friends up there & it usually does not take much to get me to come up, especially for a weekend.
From the CAN: "100% Endlessly Recyclable Aluminum C[AN]"; "Pack It In, Pack It Out."
The Crack! went as planned, so I went with a Light Glug. There was no head, so I gave it a Light swirl and produced a finger of tawny head with decent retention. Color was solidly Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity when held up to natural Light. Nose had a Light grapefruit-lemon citrusiness. I was Lightly pleased. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was kind of Light, less citrusy than it had been on the nose. It was decent for its style, but it lacked Ooomph. It seemed like another of the Aroma Hops vs. Bittering hops CANundrums that I have enCANtered with regard to these Light/Session AIPAs. Yes, I could discern hops in its flavor, but nothing like on the nose. Finish was Lightly dry, mildly bitter, but just enough to push it into the realm of dryness. This might be a good one for the backyard in the summer, but I just don't know that many calorie counters who are into craft beer.

A nice, clean and surprisingly tasty session IPA. Drank straight from the can. Nice aroma of pine, fresh citrus and light floral notes. The hops are there right up front and stick around through the entire beer. Taste is on the lighter side of mango and papaya with an orange undertone. Not as full flavored as a comparable non-session IPA but it still stands on its own. I rank this second only to the excellent Easy Jack but, since I live in MA, I'll reach for this beer just as often due to freshness.
