On-tap at the brewpub.

Pours a light brown color with a cascading off-white head that eventually settles into a thin pancake on top leaving decent lacing.

Smells of light malts - partly caramel and partly toasted - with very little hop influence.

Tastes similar to how it smells though it's a bit more complex. Light caramel malt flavors with toasted undertones kick things off. Midway through the sip light herbal hop flavors join in and carry through to a mildly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a solid thickness with soft carbonation.

Drinkability is good. I didn't have a problem finishing my glass and could have another.

Overall this is an easy-drinking beer with no real oomph factor but no real weaknesses either. Worth a shot.

Appearance: Served up a reasonably clear, amber-brown body crowned with a full finger of ivory-colored foam.

Smell: Aroma of delicately toasted bread with small, but certainly present notes of brown sugar, semi-sweet chocolate, and fruit.

Taste: Begins with a sweet, toasty breadiness with light, mild hints of chocolate, dark caramel, and brown sugar (which was added during the brewing process). Small kiss of fruitiness. Mild hoppiness and a low degree of bitterness from the Wilamette hops. Finishes drying but still a tad sweetish.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Mild carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel.

Drinkability: It's a nice mild, presenting a good flavor with a low, sensible amount of alcohol. I dare say we could use more milds out there, for they are the DD's Delight - who couldn't burn off 3.8% alcohol during the course of a meal?
