A contract brew from Black Box Brewing Company for "Spider Monkey Brewing Company".
Beer pours with a thick whit foamy head that fades to a light foamy thin layer with good lacing and a brilliant amber/orange color. Smells of sweet malts, caramel, light bread, and light hops. Taste is mild sweet malts up front, light bittering to the side and back with a lingering light bittering hops aftertaste. Decent enough summer session beer. Would compare it to Arcadia's Whitsum, which from my recollection is similar but with a slightly more rounded character. That said, it is a very nice first run from this upstart company. An interesting web read on two home brewing friends who wanted to get into the business.
