The only way to have this is on draft. Sure, it's okay from the bottle, but it's not quite right. It's a tale of two beers.

From the bottle it pours cloudy and even chunky, very chunky. Color is a gold not really any different than what is showed in the image here.

On draft I did not notice the chunkiness as much, not sure why.

From the bottle the smell is a little acidic and toned down.

On draft, the smell is very floral and full of HONEY. Real, wild, mellow warm honey.

From the bottle the taste is a little funky and off-putting, almost a fruitcake, or prune juice.

On draft the honey is the triumphant victor again, it's just so full of refreshing, sweet but not sugary honey, and so very smooth, with no hint of alcohol.

The best and worst honey beer I've had. It's too bad this either isn't being produced anymore or is impossible to find. This is really solidly in the beer realm, nothing like a mead. We have a meadery right nearby and have a fresh point of comparison. If they were able to tackle the bottling problem, this might have taken off and really been a shining template for producing honey ales.

A bit carbonated and sweet for my taste. Almost like an Asti sparkling wine.
