Copenhagen 27/4 2019. 33 cl bottle from Ølhandleren from Give (web-shop). Charming label with hand drawing of the brewery and a lot of text about the brewery, the beer and that it is advisable to store it cool. Says nothing about what edition it is (or if it is the 2015 one).
Quite gushy when I open it. Pours opaque dark brown with a very big light beige head. Settles as a 2 cm thick blanket of fluffy foam covering the surface of the beer completely. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is rich, intense, sweet and bitter at the same time. Dark chocolate, caramel, hints of coffee, dark fermented fruits. Prominent alcoholic presence.
Strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong boozy bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-ish with a metallic tang. Lingers for a while. Dry finish.
A powerful stout with a heavenly aroma. The fizzy carbonation takes a while to get accustomed to.
