Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt with some Cognac notes and light alcohol notes perceptible. Taste is a nice mix of dry caramelized malt notes with some Cognac and light woody notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and some alcohol is perceptible. I liked what the barrel-aging notes has done to the base beer.
