Pours a cloudy, brown color. 1/7 inch head of a white color. Poor retention and poor lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight hop, and slight citrus. Fits the style of an American Amber / Red Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp with an average carbonation level. There is also a noticeable bitterness. Tastes of strong hops, sweet malt, slight citrus, a hint of earthy malt. Overall, not well balanced (heavy on the hops), but otherwise still good.

Out comes a dark, but clear amber / mahogany pour in the standard shaker pint. A thick and creamy ivory head rests on top, leaving lil' lace rings as I progressed through this tasty beverage.
Subtle hints of malt and caramel in the aroma, and the taste. This amber had a sturdy dose of hops in the finish to balance it out well. They also made for a crisp and semi-dry finish. Easy to drink, a pleasant brew for a session, if needed.
I think Dave Johnson's (brewmaster) additions to the old Alandale lineup will work wonders.
