A - Poured a golden orange color with a one finger khaki colored head of fluffy foam. It left thin rings of lace on the glass.

S - It smelled of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and all spice.

T - Great balance of flavor between the pumpkin and the spices. Perfect blend of sweetness and bite.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light to medium bodied ale.

O - Very well done pumpkin ale. I really enjoyed this one.

Brown to amber in color with a bit of a murky clarity. Just a faint wisp of white head is barely noticeable. Aroma of pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The taste is overly spiced especially at the back of the palate. Nutmeg seems to be strongest, there's also plenty of pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. The mouth is over carbonated and a bit warm.

Pours a clear, copper color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of strong pumpkin, sweet malt, and slight spice. Fits the style of a Pumpkin Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clear, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of spices, pumpkin, sweet malt, hint of hop, and a hint of pale malt. Overall, good appearance, feel, blend, and body.

Enjoyed on-tap @ the Kirkwood Station Brewing Company (formerly known as the Highlands) in Kirkwood, MO for $3 (happy hour special!). Tapped from the White Tap Handle w/ "Seasonal" on the side & PUMPKIN ALE w/ Stickers into a 16oz Nonic Glass.

Aroma- Super strong pumpkin and spice! Could have much more included in the aroma that I couldn't grasp because I was so impressed with how much pumpkin/pumpkin pie characteristics they nailed in this!

Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that dies quickly. Has a deep copper body that has good clarity. Leaves very small lacing if anything.

Flavor- Has a light pumpkin taste with an extreme amount of sweetness and malt behind it. Very clean and crisp at the finish. Almost no hops are noticed.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, High Carbonation, Smooth, and has a good amount of spice/pumpkin left on the palate.

Overall Impression- I'm VERY happy I was able to enjoy this one again! The first time I had it, was not impressed at all. I'm wondering if it was due to the condition of the growler and/or how it was kept (temp, age of beer, etc.). The aroma was unbelievable in this one! After that, very light pumpkin but still very enjoyable. An easy drinking pumpkin I would definitely come back to! Get it while you can this season!

Another fine brew from the folks at Highland. This pumpkin was the standard setup and quaffer - amber orange pour into the shaker pint with a small but sturdy white head resting on top.

Plenty of pumpkin, nutmeg and winter spice in both the aroma and the quaff. Sips fine and easily, just a bit of a bitter aftertaste starts to kick in after the first pint.

Glad to see them come out with the fall drinker, another reason to stop by for pint and good food.
