The pour is brown colored with a small amount of carbonation. The taste is brown bread & cereal grains. Oh well, at least now I can say that I had a beer from Israel. There is no date on the bottle. All in all, it's an okay beer & worth a try. Cheers! C

Having had a couple of beers from Israel over the years, I wasn't expecting much here.
The color was a deep amber, a small but creamy head which left some thin lace along the way.
The scent of maple sugar was what I picked up first, followed by a hint of burnt raisin and then burnt toast. No hops to speak of in the nose.
The taste followed the smell, but the burnt raisin and burnt toast showed through and left a bitter taste on the back end. Not a very nice flavor at all. Again, no hop flavor or bitterness from hops of any kind.
It did have a creamy head which made the beer smooth, but that was probably the high point.
The price was the deciding factor that I would factor in. It ran nearly $14.00. I tried several stores before I found it in two of them. It was the same price in both locations. An "ok" rating is stretching it a bit, but some might find this one interesting. Count me out.

Presentation: 330 milliliter bottle poured into a pint glass purchased from Total Wine & More.
Look: light brown color. Thick frothy head. Minor amount of lacing.
Smell: sweet malt, bread, grains, coffee, fruit, and chocolate. The smell is pleasant.
Taste: similar to the smell, sweet malt, bread, grains, coffee, fruit, chocolate. Slightly earthy aftertaste. The taste is quite nice.
Feel: light and bubbly mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation.
Overall: this is a pretty good beer. I was not sure what to expect when I bought it, but I am pleasantly surprised. Considering this is the most popular beer in Israel, I was expecting some generic tasting lager, but it is not that. It’s flavorful and easy to drink, and does not have any foul aromas or flavors. I would definitely buy it again. I’d say it is worth trying if you’re looking for an easy to drink beer with a unique flavor profile.

330ml brown bottle. Best by stamp on label is '30-MAR-26'.
Clear, amber brown colored body. Off white foam head with the pour sticks around as a solid cap. Leaves behind some extended strings of lacing.
Aroma of dark bread, caramel, and minor dark fruit (raisin and plum).
Taste is similar to the nose with lightly roasted malts providing flavors of caramel and dark bread. A little sweetness comes from the malts plus the dark fruit expressions of plum, prune, and raisin. Has a hint of chocolate that comes in late. Aftertaste continues with the malts and dark fruits.
More than medium mouthfeel. Smooth and coats the mouth and tongue. Light bitterness on the tongue. Good carbonation.
Good flavors but not much depth, which makes the brew pale in comparison to the best German examples of the style.

11.2 ounce bottle, thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Label says best before 12-OCT-24, I've had this in my fridge for a while so it's my fault for not drinking it earlier. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear copper color with about an inch off-white head that stuck around a little while. Decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like dark bread, raisins, and some caramel malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some graininess and a weird bitter herbal flavor noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy enough to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was an OK brew, would like to try a fresher bottle sometime. Worth a try if you come across some.

From the 11.2 oz bottle in a snifter. This solid little dark lager pours an
amber tinged iced tea color with a moderate head of white foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports some light lacing. Nose of
toasted malts, dark raisin bread, and faint citrus elements. Flavors expand on the
muted nose with dark breaded malts, raisin, date, subtle orange zest, and nicely
toasted malts. Mouth feel is medium leaning towards medium light, smooth,
light carbonation, and a nicely balanced finish that is a tad thin.
Overall, a solid little lawn mower brew.
Cheers

L: SRM 7-8 Pours clear light burnished copper with a thin eggshell white head that recedes quickly to a thin skin & edge foam, good light carbo bubbles, med-light random lacing.
S: Caramelized malts, distant dark fruits, brown bread dough, raisins, dates.
T: Light toasted caramelized malts, lightly sweet dark fruits, raisins, dates, a hint of soft brown bread, toasted grains, distant zest. Taste overall is thin and semi-bright.
F: Lightly brisk then moderately smooth with a med-fast clean finish. It is lightly-bodied and is very lightly drying.
O: A good tasting and easy drinking dark beer that dwells on the light side. Nice refreshing feel. It's Kosher. Compare it to Mic Amber Bock. It's okay in its style.

Look - 500 ml bottle (purchased in Jerusalem) poured into a 12 oz glass. Light copper in color, a sizable head that mostly dissipates, leaving behind little to no lacing.
Smell - toasted bread and light sweetness, with little to no hop scents detected.
Taste - toasted grains come forward, balanced by moderate bitterness. malty flavors linger a bit, but otherwise, finish is very clean.
Feel - light bodied, high carbonation, and reasonably low ABV at 4.9%.
Overall - an average tasting dunkel, but pretty good for the most popular beer widely available in the country.

330ml bottle into a pint glass. No freshness dating that I could find.
Looks okay in the glass. Medium amber body. Small white head disappears quite quickly, no lacing to speak of.
Faintly malty aroma.
On tasting, well, not much going on. Everything here is light. Maltiness, sweetness.
Mouth between thin and medium, finish a little malty.
Overall, hard to think of this as a dunkel. Quite pale and no bite. There is no bad aftertaste, so there's that. Not much taste at all.
