Bottle from the brewery #24 of 24.
Pours a hazy orange gold color with a smallish white head that shows dismal retention. Aromas of fruit as soon as I pop the cap off the bottle. Sweet orange and cherry mixed amongst lemons and hints of earthy funk. Light lactic and acetic aromas on the nose as well as a hint of wood. The flavor is kind of a letdown for me. There's a watery fruity sweetness that reminds me of weak kool aid followed by a bit of earthy funk and a lingering tannic woody bitterness that lingers long after every sip. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick watery mouthfeel. Not sour enough, not funky enough, this one is just not my cup of sour ale.
