From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on November 8, 2013.
This beer was brewed especially for the New Hampshire theatrical premiere of "Michael Jackson, the Beer Hunter."
The pour is a deep amber tone with a full off-white head that fades down and leaves plenty of lacing.
The aroma starts out as a classic ESB with its toasted caramel malts, mild sweetness, and mellow hops. But the White Birch house yeast that tends to emulate Belgian Abbey style ales kicks in and adds a slight twist to it.
The body is about medium and smooth.
The taste starts out with roasted caramel malts and a slight fruit character and then it evolves into a mellow but notable bitterness that lingers at the end. It really remains true to the ESB style and it is a shame that White Birch only brewed this once.
