A thanks to the prince of pilsener, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Despite zero agitation, this beer came bursting out of the can, resulting in a light golden color with several inches of head and some spillage on my thigh. Smell has lots of sweet malts. Taste is malts, lemons, somewhat dry at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a highly refreshing beer on a humid night.

Good evening & welcome to my New New Hampshire CANned Beer Sunday (Week 657)! I have gotten the bulk of the Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody winnowed down to the point that I CAN again focus on what really matters. Namely, The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "At White Birch Brewing, our goal is to create great beer for the enthusiast. Each batch is brewed and bottled by hand at our brewery in Hooksett, NH."; "The urge to create is what drives us to be brewers. When that urge strikes, we fire up the kettle and make a small batch ale."; "The story behind each small batch is detailed on our website. We hope that you enjoy this look into the passion of what drives us to brew. [undersigned] Bill Herlicka, Founder".
Upon Crack!in g the CAN open, I got some foaming through the vent, requiring quick & drastic action. I immediately began a Glug into the awaiting Pilsner glass where things quickly calmed down. I had a brief two fingers of fizzy, foamy, bone-white head that quickly fizzled out of existence. Color was Pale-Straw (SRM = 1 - 2) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a lemony, biscuity quality & if you know that I am going to invoke lemon biscotti from Enrico's in Pixburgh's Strip District, then you may have read too many of my reviews! Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not much beyond it, either. The taste was clean, filled with a biscuity matiness and just a kiss of grassy hops. Finish was semi-dry & very refreshing on this unusually hot & humid fall afternoon.

Very bright hazy yellow color and with a decent head that disappears quickly but not before leaving some wonderful lacing behind. Aroma is citrusy and mildly grassy and so is the taste. Otherwise super crisp and with just the right amount of bitterness to be an excellent thirst quencher.

From the 12 fl. oz. can which was canned 02/2016. Sampled on March 26, 2016.
Very pale yellow pour with near water clarity and busy carbonation that builds up to an impressive, foamy, fluffy white head. Bits of sediment too.
The aroma has the classic aromas of a German Pilsener with toasted white bread, crackers, sweet malts, and grassy hops. But there is also a little pear in the scent.
Light body.
The taste also brings out a sweet toasted bread flavor with a grassy dry bitterness lingering for a moment at the end.

Can form Bert's
Mostly clear deep straw color with a huge fluffy white head that persists. Sweet crackery bready pilsner maltiness dominates the aroma. Light cereal grain and earthy spicy balance the nose nicely. Sweet bready flavor with bits of earthy hop to counter. Light buttery flavor and a hint of slickness in the mouthfeel. Pretty decent crushable pilsner
