This starts off terribly, as a pint can's contents are emptied into a clear glass liter mug. Whoah!, but there's an overabundance of starchy white head. It sits above a slightly cloudy amber colored, moderately opaque brew. The head recedes and the glass lacing is very irregular. It doesn't smell good at all. There's no barley malt, nor hops to be had. It really doesn't smell like a beer, even an adjunct beer. There's no beer there. There's a mildly starchy mess that may give hints of hops. The taste is slightly better, at least it's drinkable. There may not be much malt body, or taste inclusion, but the hopping is nicely and surprisingly pleasant. That character saves this mess, as there's also very little mouthfeel to commend. It's a better tasting adjunct lager than many, but it really doesn't raise the bar for the style.
