Our Harvest Ale is a labor of love. We used a blend of hops locally grown by our friend Bert, and spent many hours picking each hop cone by hand off the vines. The result is a light bodied, sessionable beer that features as much of that home grown hop goodness as possible.

Sampled 2/21/2011.

Pours bright golden yellow with plenty of carbonation and white head but no real head retention and minimal lacing.

Aroma is mildly funky like a subtle farmhouse beer. Also lots of bready malt with a touch of pine.

Flavor is a standard malty American ale base with hints of barn yard and some fruit followed by a touch of pine and a dry spicy aftertaste.

Body is just a little thinner than medium and despite this being not hoppy at all it's still pretty good, just more as an Americanized farmhouse beer.
