Light fizzy head, ruby red orange color.
Nose sweet malts, hint of light Belgian like yeast, light tart fruit, little berry like, hint tart musty maybe vinous but hard to tell.
Taste light tart fruit, fluffy but soured fig and raisin and nuts, hint of earthy yeast spices and darker malts, bit of fruity yeast with hints of esters. Light tart berry fruit and maybe vinous again but not quite. Light acidity and vinegar, bit of funk but not a lot. The malts seem to take over the taste too much.
Mouth med bodied but feels a bit thin for what I expect decent carb.
Overall one of the lesser WB beers. None of the flavors or aromas really come off where they should be, and def not that funky or sour for a year or so of aging. Oh well.

Presentation: Batch four, one of twenty four bottles from this batch. Looks like unlike previous batches this one is only seven perceant ABV. The bottle is signed by the brewer and made specifically for smiley's in dover.
Appearance: Corked and caged bottle opens prety easily and there is no gushing. Actually, it pours nearly completely still. Brown to dark brown in color without any head.
Aroma: First impression is really sharp and pungent. Nothing good, I get drain cleaner and rotten eggs. Not impressing me too much. Pine notes and moldy cherries are there too. Not very inviting.
Taste: Lots of barnyard funk, not really the pleasant type either. Rotten cherries, some watered down lemon and more drain cleaner. This really sticks with you too. Not light, but lingering. I found myself tasting this an hour later.
Mouthfeel: Pretty flat, but not too heavy. Almost sticks to your mouth and lingers though.
Overall, this was a drainpour for me. Made it about four ounces in. Really clashing and unpleasant. My least favorite beer from this brewery and the worst I've had in a while. Not my style.

muddy brown with a quick disappearing eggshell colored head that leaves a bit of lacing as I sip.
aroma is a bit malty and tart with some fruits, red wine vinegar, berries, nuts, and a slight bit of caramel.
flavor starts off very slightly tart with red wine vinegar, but very malty with nuts and a bit of sweetness. very little acidity. like a light oud bruin. not bad.
almost medium bodied with very subtle carbonation, but lacks that velvety feel that works best for the style, doesn't quite fill the mouth.
overall, its not bad. I wouldn't have bought it had it not been so limited and signed by the brewer, and I was hoping to give an outstanding review, but Its just not outstanding. good, yes, but not outstanding.

A new Wild Ale from White Birch. This one was brewed exclusively for O'Haras in Worcester. A very small batch here too, bottle number 22 out of 24. Poured in to a tulip glass, the color is a murky rose, with very little heading. Lots of red wine and berries come through in the smell, overall a very nice smelling fruit nose. The flavor is quite interesting in that there isn't as much sourness as I would have expected. You get lots of the red wine and fruit character in the smell. There is also a good dosage of hops here. Lots of carbonation here as well. Alcohol is well hidden flavor wise, but can be felt for sure. Overall this is a really interesting Wild Ale that I am enjoying more with each sip. I hope Bill keeps the wild stuff coming. Cheers
