Reviewed from notes. I had two bombers of this and between the two, it was poured into a mug, a pint glass and a tulip. There basically wasn’t any changes in any piece of glassware. The appearance was a decent looking golden yellow to hazy orange color. There was some soft carbonation that was seen rising at a moderate pace. Once the one finger white foamy head died, there was an ample amount of some foamy lacing. The smell had some light lemony and orange notes over top of a decent sweet to spicy wheat. The taste was somewhat spicy and somewhat sweet. On the palate, this sat at/about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability running about it. The carbonation seems good for the style as its somewhat harsh but not overbearing. Overall, I say this was a good beer I’d be willing to have again.

Pours a cloudy, whitish gold with a thin head into my glass. Great color and a welcome change as the nights are starting to fall sooner here.

Lemon and coriander in the nose. "Juicy" with a good yeast accent.

Lemon, grapefruit and spice make up the mouthfeel here. It's a hoppier wit in other words. It works alright. The hops do compliment the yeast.

Lingering spiciness from the yeast with just a mild touch of citrus. Not much left. Very tasty once again.

I like this. It's hoppier than a typical wit so beware if hops are not your thing.

22oz bomber into Duvel artist series tulip
Bottled May 2012 Batch One (Big thanks to Double D for bringing this back from his vaca).

A - cloudy, medium yellow in color. Mild head that dissipates fairly quickly

S - not alot of aroma but what is there gives the smell of a wheat ale versus a wit.

T - interesting. there is an oaky sour taste combined with a mixture of wheat ale and wit yeast like body. A lemony taste hits midway and lingers as well. Very different but enjoyable.

M - light to medium. Even with the heavy presence of wheat it finishes smooth. Refreshing and damn easy to drink.

O - Not sure what to make of this. As a pure Wit style it misses the mark but I really think this should be labeled as a Pale Wheat Ale. In that vein, it drinks really spot on. Tangy and easy drinking. Maybe not my favorite but I would certainly have another if I had access to them.
