Tap only release sampled from a growler that was filled 4 hours ago.
Pours a murky brownish gold with a smallish fluffy white head that shows remarkable retention. Smells of bread and grainy malt, with a light soft fruit note, a touch of sulfur, and a nice in your face kind of spicy herbal floral hop thing going on. The flavor is lightly sweet bready malt again with hints of fruit and a solid shot of hop bitterness. Earthy spicy hop flavor is tilted quite a bit towards the hop end of balance. Surprisingly body for a sessionable 4 % beer, moderate level of carbonation and a sweet spicy bitter mouthfeel. This is a really nice beer, and small enough to drink lots of. Release it in the summer and I'll make sure it has a place in the cup holder of my meager lawnmower.
