Pours a dark brown color bordering on black with a small smattering of beige bubbles that dissipate almost instantly. The nose fills the air with huge red wine and grapes skins as soon as I wrangle the cork out of the bottle. Lightly tart fruits and a solid shot of funk along with some brown sugar and faint malts to provide balance. The flavor is sweet up front with darker sugars and sweet dark fruits. A light tartness and a bretty funk come through midway before a drying fruity sweetness lingers long after every sip. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet almost sticky mouthfeel. Decent sour ale, but imho it could use a bit more tart sourness and a few more bubbles.
