Small Batch Ale Porter

Growler filled from a tap at the brewery and enjoyed hours later.
Pours a solid black with a smallish off white head that dissipates to a ring on top leaving moderate lace on the way down. Lightly roasted coffee with bits of milk chocolate dominate the aroma here. Light earthy hop aroma as well as fleeting whiffs of vanilla, cherry, and plum. The flavor is again dominated by roast and chocolate, but the flavor finds a bit more of a bitter chocolate tone. Earthy hop flavor melds nicely with faint dark fruit flavors. Medium body with a creamy and light ashy mouthfeel and a light to moderate level of carbonation. Very nice porter, light in body and 5% abv, but packs plenty of flavor.
